CIDG completed analytical work on the airport at the Kamień Śląski
Crowley Infrastructure Development Group has developed a full feasibility study to run the airport at Kamień Śląski.
CIDG is working with the management board of Opole province, which is planning the construction of airport infrastructure since 2006, when the company prepared a preliminary analysis of the airport near Opole. CIDG estimated current demand and passenger traffic volume. It also developed a model for the operation of airport, together with the location and characteristics of benefits for the region, the functions of the airport and its technical parameters.
The airport in Kamień Śląski is planned to be a local port, having european range. Given the current economic downturn, the province and the JASPERS experts who have an opinion on the project for financing from EU funds, are considering investment assumptions.
"The forecasts, which were the basis of master plans and business development projects of Polish airports include slowing growth in traffic" - says Jaroslaw Roszkowski, chairman of Crowley Infrastructure Development Group. - "The experience of the last 20 years shows that the forecast prepared for air transportation for the Polish market, have been strongly underestimated. It does not appear to us that any airport today has the basis for verification of the forecasts, particularly from the point of view of planned investment, the horizon of next 2-5 years"
The final decision on the release of the airports have not yet been taken
